Transportadora de Gas del Sur
Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA is one of Latin America's leading natural gas transporters. Natural Gas Transportation, Liquids Manufacturing and Trading, Other Services, and Telecommunications are the company's operating segments. It earns the most money from the Production and Commercialization of Liquids division. Geographically, Argentina accounts for the majority of its revenue.
Argentina's Transportadora de Gas del Sur (TGS) carries natural gas southward. The company distributes almost 60% of the natural gas used in Argentina via the country's largest pipeline infrastructure (over 4,700 miles). TGS, which was previously state-owned, has the sole licence to transport petrol from southern and western Argentina to neighbouring distributors and Buenos Aires. TGS's gas services include liquid natural gas (NGL) treatment, processing, and marketing. It constructed and ran a fibre optic telecommunications network. The company is owned by Compaa de Inversiones de Energa. Pampa Energia took over the company in 2011.
After the privatization of the state-owned natural gas exploration and distribution business Gas del Estado in 1992, Transportadora de Gas del Sur S.A. was formed. The company is a global leader in producing and distributing natural gas liquids (NGLs) for domestic and international markets, operating from the General Cerri Complex in Baha Blanca, Buenos Aires Province. Aires also provides comprehensive solutions for natural gas producers who want to align their operations with the market.
