Mount Tsiafajavona, one of the highest mountains in Madagasca, is found in central Madagascar's volcanic mountainous region of Ankaratra. After Boby, this mountain climbs to 7,856 feet above sea level, making it ranked 2nd among the highest mountains in Madagasca. Because of the fog that covers the mountain most of the time, the locals named it Tsiafajavona.
Due to its proximity to Ambatolampy town, Mount Tsiafajavona is well-known for hiking. With dense grasses and a few scattered trees, the mountain has a limited biodiversity. In the mountainous areas, there are no significant mammals.
