UAE Awafi Festival
The Awafi festival is a yearly celebration of the union's culture and history, largely via outdoor activities, and is one of the few traditional festivals in the UAE. This annual event is well known for its different competitions to ascend the tallest sand dunes in various types of makeshift vehicles.
During the festival, there are also various cultural activities, such as a Heritage Village display, a large bazaar, coffee shops, and art exhibitions. The Awafi festival is one of the most popular festivals in the UAE and should not be missed if you are in the area at the time.
