Veselin Vukotic and Dragan Vukcevic, two outstanding university professors, launched UDG in 2007 as the outcome of an entrepreneurial idea that they developed over time. University of Donja Gorica is in 1st best universities in Motenegro, The Faculty of International Economics, Finance, and Business; the Faculty of Law; the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies; the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and the Polytechnic; the Faculty of Food Technology, Food Safety, and Ecology; the Faculty of Sports Management; the Faculty of Design and Multimedia; and the Faculty of Culture and Tourism are the ten faculties that offer undergraduate studies.

Almaty Management University, American University Kyiv, Galala University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Istanbul Bilgi University, Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, Universidad Internacional del Ecuador, and The NorthCap University are among the Cintana Alliance's members.

By joining the Cintana Alliance, University of Donja Gorica will be able to provide students with a unique educational model that includes access to ASU curriculum, as well as the option to participate in dual degree programs, student mobility programs, co-teaching, and research exchanges. Students will benefit from career-oriented curricula, hands-on experience on real-world projects, and the chance to solve some of the world's most important problems while also improving their competitiveness in their future employment.
