University of Mahajanga
The University of Mahajanga is a public higher education school in Mahajanga, a port city on Madagascar's northwest coast. It is also one of the best universities in Madagascar.
The CUR, or Mahajanga Regional University Center, was founded in 1977 with only one course: the School of Dental Surgery (ESCD). In 1982, two courses were established: Natural Sciences and Medicine, and the CUR was directed by Professor Andrianjatovo Raharisoa Jeannette from 1977 to 1978, then by Doctor George Raoelina in 1978, and finally by Professor Rajabo at the start of 1988.
Each of Madagascar's six CURs was elevated to the status of autonomous and independent university on October 7, 1988.
The University of Mahajanga's training courses have been approved by the supervisory Ministry as part of the LMD reform that has been implemented across the country. The authorized training courses are separated into five categories, which are then graded and noted:
- Institute of Tropical Odonto-Stomatology of Madagascar (IOSTM).
- University Institute of Management and Management (IUGM).
- School of Arts and Techniques in Dental Prostheses (EATP).
- Higher Institute of Science and Technology (ISSTM).
- University Institute of Technology and Agronomy of Mahajanga (IUTAM).
