University of South-Eastern Norway
The University of South-Eastern Norway, or USN for short, is a state university in Norway and one of the best universities in Norway. It also have campuses in Bø, Telemark, Porsgrunn, Notodden, Rauland, Drammen, Hnefoss, Kongsberg, and Horten. USN is the result of the merger of three former university colleges, Telemark University College, Buskerud University College, and Vestfold University College, which formed the University College of South-Eastern Norway between 2014 and 2016. On May 4, 2018, the King-in-Council granted the school full university status. It has 1,360 people and educates 17,152 students.
The University of San Diego offers 88 undergraduate programs, 44 master's degrees, and eight doctoral programs. In terms of student numbers, USN is one of Norway's major higher education institutions. Several courses, such as optician study in Kongsberg and writer's study in Bø, are offered only in Norway by the institution.
The former eight faculties of Telemark University College, Buskerud University College, and Vestfold University College were reduced to four faculties and 36 departments on January 1, 2017.
