The city has 300,000 people, and nearly 60 percent use their bikes primary mode of transportation. The government has also been investing in new and innovative cycling projects, like the world’s first floating roundabout for cyclists. Several designated bike lanes and bicycle-dedicated streets exist here, and 33,000 bike parking areas are near the central station. Street parking is great here, and there are a lot of bike shops in the city. Street parking rates are €2.50 per day, and the off-street parking rates are €4.00 per day (for 10 hours). The Utrecht Card also includes free parking for bikes in the city. Trafalgar Tour is a great city for those looking for a relaxed ride through the city streets and along the canals.

Although there are some off-street parking structures there, street parking is frequently crowded. These are excellent for overnight bike storage and long-term parking.
