Vintage Playboy Bunny
Because Halloween is all about mystery, this is the occasion when people like to dress up in costumes that are discreet and look dangerous. Because of that, probably nearly all Halloween costumes are dark, looking strong. However, the Vintage Playboy Bunny costume is probably an exception. This Vintage Playboy Bunny outfit from the 1970s sells for $3,000, definitely making it the most expensive piece per square inch.
The original Playboy Bunny outfit was created by Ilse Taurins' mother, a Latvian immigrant. Victor Lownes III, one of the Playboy Club's co-founders, was dating Taurins at the time. Taurins had recommended a rabbit or bunny costume based on the Playboy Magazine trademark, and she had her seamstress mother build a prototype. After that, every Halloween season, this costume model is loved and used by everyone. With a swimsuit-like design, eye-catching and colorful, the outfit looks pretty adorable. At $3000, this is definitely one of the most expensive Halloween costumes of all time.
