Vuarnet
Vuarnet is a French eyewear company that was formed in 1957 and specializes in high-end spectacles and polarized sunglasses. Under the name Skylynx Acier, Roger Pouilloux and Joseph Hachigian introduced Skylynx lenses in the 1950s. Pioneering ophthalmologist with a love for skiing who invented a unique style of spectacles that can both shield eyes on slopes and provide sharp vision in cloudy conditions revolutionized the sunglasses industry. They were worn by Gold Medal-winning skier Jean Vuarnet in the 1960 Olympics. Following this triumph, the two men became friends and decided to collaborate to develop a brand that reflected their respective personalities: inventive, effective, and exquisite. With 1,729 Twitter followers, they are ranked 9 on the list.
As soon as Vuarnet was created, well-known figures including Miles Davis, Romy Schneider, Alain Delon, and Mick Jagger began using it. Vuarnet has also made numerous on-screen appearances in films, including ones starring Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski, Jake Gyllenhaal in Everest, and Daniel Craig in the most recent Spectre. At its manufacturing site in Meaux, France, close to Paris, Vuarnet creates and produces its own colored mineral glass lenses. For daily usage or in bright illumination, all of Vuarnet's tinted mineral lenses are created to the exact same standards. All of Vuarnet's frames are still manufactured in France today and include premium mineral lenses for the clearest vision and the greatest experiences.
