Washington’s National Mall
If you can't get enough of our great country, perhaps a tour through its rich history will be beneficial to your family. If that's the case, you should go to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. To begin, you'll view some of the most well-known structures in the country, such as the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Constitution Gardens. This hour-long journey is filled with intriguing artifacts and knowledge about American history. There are also beautiful botanical gardens to visit.
The National Mall also houses the Smithsonian Institution, a museum complex that houses 17 fantastic museums on a variety of topics, including the National Art Museum and Renwick Gallery, the National Air and Space Museum, the Museum of Natural History, the National Zoo, and the Conservation Biology Institute. And, best of all, the majority of these displays are completely free.
