Wood restaurant, which is a 6-time Michelin Bib Gourmand winner, located in the center of Chicago's Northalsted district on the city's northside, has operated as an elegant casual dinner and drinks destination since 2012. Wood is more than a name: a tribute to the owner's father, who worked as a carpenter for over 50 years moreover a wood-fired oven is at the center of it all, complementing a dynamic menu of small-plate American cooking produced with the best midwestern farm products available each season. Though the menu changes frequently, a few constants remain: all meat is butchered in-house from humanely grown animals, all vegetables are sourced from local family farms, and all kinds of pasta and sausages are prepared from hand.
