WoofTrax' Walk for a Dog

WoofTrax's Walk for a Dog app allows you to generate funds for your favorite animal charity while walking your dog. All you have to do is choose a charity (the app will identify an animal shelter or rescue organisation near you if you don't want to choose), create an account, enter your dog's information, and start walking. The app is supported by advertisements and sponsors, and the longer you walk, the more money you raise for your chosen charity.

To begin using Walk for a Dog, enter your name and email address, then validate your email address by clicking on a link given to that address. The app will then prompt you to register your dog (or dogs), but you can also select "Walk for Cassie" or enter information for a fictitious dog if you don't have one. The software will then track your steps, distance, and map your stroll using GPS after you select "Start Walking." iPhone users may use the app on a treadmill or stationary cycle, but Android users must get outside in order for the program to function.
