Zekreet Beach
Zekreet Beach (Bir Zekreet or Ras Abrouq Beach) is one of Qatar's most attractive beaches, with crystal clear blue waters and intriguing limestone structures. It is also a popular camping spot for city inhabitants wishing to reconnect with nature. Many people bring their tents and spend the weekend here; the stony beach means it is peaceful in comparison to others in the region. Windsurfers and other water sports enthusiasts can also be seen along the coast. Meanwhile, aspiring photographers enjoy photographing the well-known Richard Serra Art Piece in the nearby desert. Peaceful and unspoiled, Zekreet is the perfect place to enjoy a beachside barbecue and magnificent sunset.
Zekreet Beach is frequently described as "isolated," and its position on a peninsula in West Qatar. To get to this beach, which is 100 kilometers west of Doha, you'll need to rent a 4x4 and take a picturesque trip over the difficult terrain. Bring goggles if you want to dive in the surf, or stay inland to watch gazelles, deer, and ostrich wandering freely.
