ZipCar, an Avis subsidiary, is one of the most popular services on the list. It is station-based, which means drivers must go to a specific ZipCar site to pick up the rental. If you are allowed to drive, ZipCar will send you a membership card that allows you to access their rentals. There is no need to meet with a staff; simply arrive at the lot, locate the vehicle, and open it with the card. ZipCar is one of the few gas-inclusive services, however there is a monthly membership cost.

Drivers may hire a car with ZipCar in most states and at hundreds of institutions around the country. Rates in the Los Angeles region start at $10 per hour and $82 per day, but vary significantly based on your location. To join ZipCar, you must pay a membership fee of $7 per month or $70 per year. In addition, there is a one-time $25 application fee. ZipCar also provides Extra Value Plans for frequent drivers. You will have a large number of automobiles to pick from.
