Known for having some of the best food in the area, Saint Vincent is a volcanic island in the Caribbean. Along with a group of islands named collectively as ... read more...

  1. Bequia, the second largest island off the coast of St Vincent, is located here. The name is derived from the Ancient South American phrase "island of the clouds," which is an excellent description of the region. Lower Bay Beach is one of the greatest beaches on the island. It'll be the ideal location to unwind with a few rums for many folks looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. While there isn't much to do at Lower Bay Beach other than relax, it is undoubtedly one of the greatest beaches in the Grenadines.

The sand is smooth, and the ocean is a stunning vivid blue, making it one of the most gorgeous spots in the Caribbean. So, if you're seeking for peace and solitude in this region, I'd recommend visiting Bequia, notably Lower Bay Beach, which is close to perfect for a relaxing atmosphere.

  2. While they're on the subject of Bequia, another beach just down the road from Lower Bay is worth mentioning. Because Princess Margaret Shore is only a 20-minute walk along the beach, it's a good idea to visit both of these magnificent beaches at the same time. These two beaches are quite similar, with the exception that Princess Margarets is also suitable for snorkeling. The water is incredibly clear, making it easy to view beneath the surface, and there is a diverse assortment of fish to be seen. Many people actually prefer this beach than Lower Bay.

It's also worth noting that people flock to these beaches not just for the beach, but also for the bars and restaurants that line the shoreline. You'll be able to acquire some excellent seafood here, as well as some tasty cocktails if that's your thing. So, if you're going to one of these two fantastic beaches, make sure you visit both of them.

  3. Salt Whistle Bay is another of the Grenadines' most well-known beaches. This beach is on Mayreau, an island even further south than Bequia, almost halfway between St Vincent and Grenada, another renowned Caribbean beach resort. This little beach nook is ideal for getting away from it all. While you are free to visit on your own, many tourists use this region as a sailing stopover on their way across the Caribbean. As a result, you'll observe a variety of sailboats entering the water.

Because Mayreau has no airport or landing strip, you must arrive by water. Aside from sailing directly here, flying into nearby is the best option. Union Island and take a water taxi there — you may fly to Union Island from either Barbados or St Vincent. 4So, while getting here may appear to be a significant amount of effort, it is well worth the effort. The sea here is peaceful and crystal clear, and it's also very shallow, so it's ideal for those who aren't confident in the water.

  4. Mustique, a private island a little further out from Bequia, boasts some of the nicest beaches the Grenadines has to offer. One of these is Lagoon Beach, which is a long stretch of sand that wraps around the island's entire south-west corner. There is, as the name suggests, a big lagoon here. A pleasant nature route winds its way around the lagoon, so if you're ready for a short stroll, it may be a fun trip.

As you'd expect from a beach on the very edge of the island, it also offers some of the greatest views around. It's a great site to come early in the morning to see the dawn, and because it's located on the island's corner, you'll get some spectacular panoramic views. One thing to keep in mind with Lagoon Beach is that there aren't many amenities around. Because of the remote nature of Lagoon Beach, it's a good idea to carry snacks and other items you'll need throughout the day.

  5. Many people consider Lagoon Beach to be the best beach on Mustique. Britannia Bay, on the other hand, is a must-see beach because it is the only site on the island that allows moorings, so if you plan to sail here, you'll need to store your boat here. Because the island is only a few kilometers long, there aren't many distinct spots for you to discover. When you come here, the folks are quite kind, and if you're not sure where else to go on the island, they'll be happy to give you some recommendations.

With pristine waters, immaculate beaches, and some of the best vistas the Caribbean has to offer, this beach is ideal for both swimming and snorkeling. Overall, if you're in the Grenadines, this is another fantastic area to visit.
