The ideal wireless keyboard for you is mostly determined by how (and where) you want to use it, as well as what you intend to accomplish with it. Many masters ... read more...

  1. The Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro is the most popular wireless gaming keyboard because it provides a full-size, full-height mechanical switch experience together with all the features you'd expect from a premium gaming keyboard. This includes the keyboard's metal top plate and high-end Doubleshot ABS plastic keycaps, which felt excellent during testing and looked good as well, repelling smudges far better than competitors. A soft leatherette magnetic wrist rest and four onboard memory profiles are also included. To utilize any RGB effect other than the 7 stored in the keyboard's memory, you'll need the program. And, unlike the Logitech G915 Lightspeed on this page, which is its main competitor, there are no macro keys.

    The BlackWidow V3 Pro
may be connected by a wireless dongle, the provided charging cable, or Bluetooth, which allows it to connect to up to three more computers. The battery life varies depending on the brightness and impact of the backlight, however, it may last anywhere from 5 to 192 hours when lit. The BlackWidow V2 Pro may also turn wacky at 3% battery life, with delays in recognizing key presses and difficulty with the program finding it.

  2. Although Redragon isn't exactly a household name in the United States, the K596 Vishnu's $70 price tag is hard to ignore. In a tenkeyless compact, this 2.4 GHz wireless gaming keyboard has RGB, dedicated macro and media buttons, a metal volume rocker, linear switches, and even a wrist rest (although a hard plastic one). And it's at a fraction of the cost of the more well-known competitor. Although the plastic used for the shell appears to be a touch cheap, the K596 Vishnu feels strong and is pleasant to use when gaming and typing. The design also has several quirks, such as the fact that F1-F8 are labeled as supplementary media controls despite the presence of a bank of dedicated media buttons to their right.

The second bank of programmable G keys is similarly thin and clogged. Additionally, there are light bars on either side of the keyboard that, although attractive, will just drain your battery quickly if you don't have the USB-C connection plugged in when gaming. You can turn them off by continually pressing Fn and the Pause button, but that's a nuisance. The additional lights should only turn on when the keyboard is connected to the computer via a wire. In addition, the Vishnu is heavier than other wireless keyboards.

  3. The Logitech G915 Lightspeed keyboard provides an excellent balance of accuracy, speed, and comfort. It looks sleek and mature in a way that few gaming peripherals can, and it comes with everything you could want from a keyboard, save for a wrist rest.

By contrast, Razer and Corsair offer somewhat less expensive high-end boards, but this low-profile keyboard is a dream come true for those who secretly regret the steadiness of the old membrane days. There's also the wonderful Logitech G915 TKL for people searching for something comparable but smaller.

    Detailed information:

Switches: Logitech GL (low-profile; tactile, clicky or linear)
    Backlight: Per-key RGB
    Type: Full-size

  4. The Akko 3098B is a typist's dream, combining the company's comfortable, ASA keycaps with a small, 96-percent layout and the ability to hot-swap in your preferred switches if the defaults aren't to your liking. While touch typing, the curved surface of the keycaps makes it simpler to navigate, and the default CS Jelly White switches are the greatest linear switches ever. Turn on the colorful RGB lights beneath the keys if you want to add a bit of modern flair.

Apart from the nostalgia, the Akko 3098B is packed with functions, like the ability to connect via 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.0/ 3.0, or USB-C. Switching between entry methods takes only a single keystroke and less than a second, allowing you to use this keyboard simultaneously on your desktop, laptop, Raspberry Pi, tablet, and phone. The 96-percent layout of the Akko 3098B makes it nearly as wide as a tenkeyless model, but with virtually all of the keys of a full-size keyboard, including the numpad and arrow keys. You can alter the height with two pairs of flip-out feet.

    Detailed information:

Switches: Akko CS Jelly White, CS Jelly Pink, CS Jelly Blue (3098B) or Akko TTC Silent Red V3 Switches or TTC Princess switches (3098N)
    Type: 96%

  5. The iQunix A80 Explorer is a retro-styled 80 percent keyboard with current capabilities. It offers distinctive and desirable features like high-quality, multicolored PBT keycaps and silent stabilizers in a small package, with the option of connecting through a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle or Bluetooth.

    The iQunix A80
is an outstanding keyboard. From the striking, vintage appearance and matching cord to the use of dampening foam and superb stabilizers, there's a lot of attention to detail here. As a consequence, you'll have a keyboard that's genuinely one-of-a-kind, with a typing experience that rivals that of a custom-built mechanical keyboard. Nonetheless, the distinctive style and rather a high price are not for everyone. If you prefer the form factor but can't afford the A80, the Keychron K2 begins at $80 for the RGB version, which is less premium in construction.

    Detailed information:

Switches: Cherry MX Red (tested), Blue, Brown, Silver, Silent Red; Gateron Red, Blue, Brown
    Backlight: RGB
    Type: 80%

  6. Corsair's K63 Keyboard/Lapboard combo may have a longer name than Razer's Turret One, but it's a simpler, roomier gadget that offers a superb couch gaming experience for a lesser price ($159.99 MSRP, though it was selling for roughly $10 more at the time of writing) than the $250 Razer setup. The Lapboard is also available without the keyboard for $60.

It's as simple as connecting the keyboard into its Micro USB socket to charge it. However, because the laptop is fairly enormous and bulky, at nearly 26 inches long and 10.5 inches broad, you may wish to open the two tabs at the rear of the Lapboard and remove the keyboard first. Thanks to a slide-out mouse pad, Razer's Turret One is a little smaller and easier to stow when not in use. However, this results in a somewhat tighter feeling and a smaller mousing area. The Corsair K63 Keyboard/Lapboard combo, on the other hand, provides a large and pleasant gaming experience on the couch.

    Detailed information:

    Switches: Cherry MX Red (linear)
    Backlight: Blue
    Type: Tenkeyless

  7. The Razer Turret for Xbox One is a game-changing couch keyboard and mouse combination. It's well-made, the extensible mouse mat is great for convenient storage, it's comfy to use on your lap, and it gives you the sensation of using a mechanical keyboard and mouse, which you are.

Despite being developed for the Xbox One, the Turret is a good choice for a PC player who likes to play from their sofa. In fact, it works with more PC titles, making it a better value for PC users. This Turret is an excellent match if you don't want to squish your existing PC mice and keyboards into something like a Corsair Lapdog.

    Detailed information:

Switches: Razer Green (tactile and clicky)
    Backlight: Per-key RGB
    Type: Tenkeyless
    Size: 23.6 x 7.6 x 1.5 inches (600 x 194 x 36.9mm) with mouse tray expanded

  8. Although you'll have to pay extra for Keychron's $25 travel bag (or find another way to preserve the keys), the Keychron K3 has a lot to offer for on-the-go typists. There's a lot to appreciate about the Keychrom K3 with its enticing appearance, beautiful backlighting, slim design, and swappable low-profile switches. In terms of comfort, appearance, and adaptability, it's the greatest portable low-profile mechanical/optical keyboard. It's remarkable that Keychron was able to keep things so minimal while yet keeping the flexibility to shift switches.

However, you'll have to sacrifice battery life and overall frame stiffness in order to get the small package. If you have room in your back for a taller device, the Keycrhon K3 has greater battery life, feels tougher, and has longer battery life. So, before you buy, think about how much mobility you'll need.

Switches: Gateron low profile mechanical or Keychron Optical

  9. The Asus ROG Falchion NX crams as many features as a gaming keyboard can into as tiny a package as feasible. Despite its 65 percent frame, you won't lose functionality with this board because of its arrow buttons, navigation keys, revolutionary side touch screen, and wireless macro recording capabilities.

Although this board has per-key RGB lighting, modifying it requires using Asus' clumsy Aura Creator program. Other premium features, such as double shot PBT keycaps and the option to connect through both a USB-C to USB-A connection and 2.4 GHz wifi, make up for it. When you include in the side touch panel's capacity to save up to five gesture-based actions, this is a board that can be used for a wide range of applications, which isn't usually the case with 65 percent keyboards.

Switches: NX Red, Brown or Blue

  10. The ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II from Lenovo looks and feels like it came directly from one of the company's professional computers. Along with the small red TrackPoint pointing stick, the keyboard has the same smile-shaped, springy keys as a ThinkPad notebook. Without a mechanical keyboard and mouse, the typing and navigating experience are as excellent as it gets.

The TrackPoint Keyboard II contains a hardware button that allows you to choose between Bluetooth and 2.4-GHz wireless connectivity. So, if you wish to utilize more than one device at the same time, switching between your Windows PC and your Raspberry Pi is simple.
