  1. There’s something extra special about the atmosphere at the beautiful Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach, Oregon. Many staff members have worked there for decades and from the moment you walk through the door, you’re treated like family.

Stephanie Inn is located on Cannon Beach and its 41 rooms have stunning views of the ocean and Haystack Rock or the mountains. It’s a great place to stay the night, but two days are ideal - one day to walk along the sand and explore the beach and another to enjoy the shops of downtown Cannon Beach, one of the most romantic small towns in the United States. Be sure to make reservations for dinner in The Dining Room, it’s by far the best meal you’ll have on the Oregon Coast.

The rooms at Stephanie Inn are spacious and sumptuously appointed with gas fireplaces, luxurious linens, Aveda bath products, and free soft drinks and snacks. Many have large private decks overlooking the ocean. Guests are also treated to a complimentary beer and wine hour in the evening, a nightcap before bed, and an amazing chef’s breakfast in the morning. If that isn’t enough, there are also on-site massages available and complimentary rides to town in the hotel Tesla. If you want to be spoiled, you can’t do better than the Stephanie Inn.

  2. The Salish Lodge and Spa is located less than an hour’s drive from Seattle, outside the charming town of Snoqualmie. Perched above the breathtaking Snoqualmie Falls, the lodge manages the feat of feeling both luxurious and rustic at the same time.

The chef in the hotel’s on-site restaurant, The Dining Room, grows much of its produce on-site, including honey from their own hives, and everything else on the delicious menu is sourced as locally as possible. Its wine list is extensive with a focus on Washington state wine. If you’re looking for something more relaxed, The Attic serves casual fare and craft cocktails upstairs.

The 84 guest rooms at Salish Lodge are sumptuously appointed with luxury bath products, gas fireplaces, and thick linens that make you want to spend the entire day in bed. To truly pamper yourself, upgrade to the spa level on the top floor with river views and access to Club 268, which includes access to soaking tubs and a gorgeous living room where club guests relax in front of a wood-burning fireplace, enjoy complimentary wine, beer, and appetizers in the evening and a generous continental breakfast in the morning.

  6. A palatial mansion completed in 1873 as the summer residence of New York Congressman John Winthrop Chanler, The Chanler at Cliff Walk blends the opulence of Newport's storied Gilded Age with the exquisite luxuries and amenities of today.

Driving through The Chanler's main gates, you get the impression that you're arriving at someone’s grand private residence rather than a place of business. Although it's just a short distance from downtown Newport and overlooks The Cliff Walk, one of the city's most admired attractions, the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel and its five-acre estate is designed to be a restful, romantic sanctuary away from - yet close to - the action.

Enjoy The Chanler's stunning ocean views, take a stroll around its beautifully tended gardens, dine at Cara, the hotel's renowned restaurant and even pamper yourself with luxurious in-room spa treatments. This, and much more, is all available to you at the luxury hotel.

  7. Poised at the end of Scenic Highway 30A - a 28.5-mile two-lane road that hugs the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast - is regal Rosemary Beach. One of the trendiest beachfront towns in the American South, this 107-acre oasis oozes Old World European charm despite the fact that it was founded in 1995.

In the heart of this disarmingly dear destination is a boutique jewel box hotel aptly named The Pearl Hotel. Opened in 2013, The Pearl Hotel is the town’s first hotel, giving you an easy way to escape to Rosemary Beach complete with a waterfront chaise lounge (under a black-and-white-striped umbrella, naturally) on a private strip of sand.

Each one of the 55 guest rooms features an interactive iPad, luxury bath products, and complimentary mini-fridge stocked with water, juice, and soda. Complimentary bike rentals and seasonal complimentary kayak/canoe are included in your stay. Indulge in a poolside spa treatment or simply spend the day on the beach. No matter how you spend your time, a night at The Pearl is an unforgettable experience. This is your guide to the best Florida beaches locals want to keep a secret.

  9. Located about 15 minutes from the French Quarter area of New Orleans, Maison de la Luz offers a sense of quiet and respite that shouldn’t be taken for granted in a vibrant city like New Orleans. Just be sure to consider these things before you make any hotel booking.

Maison de la Luz was former a office building, there are exterior hints in the Beaux Arts flourishes at what lies inside. Beyond the front doors lies the hallway, black and white tiled floors and red velvet armchairs framed by a cinematic grand staircase. The front desk itself could be straight out of a Wes Anderson film, Art Deco fonts illuminated by period lamps, bathed in regal dark blues. The detail throughout the public spaces is truly impressive, with the place designed by Studio Shamshiri to appear like the private residence of a curio-collecting world traveller. It’s impeccable.

Guests are treated to a night in a painstakingly renovated 1908 building with stunning, colorful art decor and so many intricate details you might find yourself focusing more on your gorgeous surroundings than your companion (if you came with company). Maison de la Luz offers 67 sumptuously appointed suites and rooms. There’s an honor bar in the hotel living room and every night a presentation of wine, cheese, fruit, and charcuterie. Service is top-notch and anticipatory.

  10. Built in 1902 as a private home for Charles Van Vleck, the stunning location was later converted into a residential hotel, The Georgian Inn, for short-term stays in the 1940s. At this time, the Montclair branch of the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) relocated its New Jersey headquarters to the Queen Anne carriage house in the back.

In 2008, the historic building was granted landmark status, and in 2012, after it was purchased, the Inn underwent a full renovation. Bobbi and Steven designed each of the rooms to have a bespoke look and feel that’s distinctly different from the rest. Design-minded with a sophisticated style that’s worldly and chic, expect uncompromising comfort and luxe touches in each space. Inspired by Bobbi and Steven’s love of travel. The stained glass windows were too incredible to remove, so instead, the team designed around them – making it a focal point of the space. The breath-taking high ceilings continue throughout the inn.

The George consists of a whopping 32-rooms situated on four floors that are made up of standard queen and king, deluxe queen and king, a junior suite, a family room, an “apartment” suite, and the ‘George’ suite – which consists of 2 queen beds or 1 king bed, a separate living area, smart TVs, and more.
