Big Cedar Lodge, located south of Branson and built by Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, is more than just an outdoor playground. It was created with the intention of generating revenue for Morris' home state, and he has succeeded admirably. The hotel frequently appears on "Best of" lists, including Golf Magazine's Best Hotel for Families. Sea Island is one of the country's most opulent hotels, and it works hard to accommodate both families and couples. For many, a trip to Sea Island is a splurge, but once you're there, the secluded island setting and plentiful hotel offerings will provide a much-needed respite. While you're here, take advantage of the shooting range and shoot a few clays from the sky while gazing out at the sea.

The Plantation Course was recently redesigned by Davis Love III, whose courses feature wide corridors that are ideal for average players and plenty of trouble around the greens to challenge better golfers. Sea Island has it all: luxury, family, friendliness, and an unforgettable experience. The most expensive rooms are located within the main hotel and are 400 square feet in size with a small sofa for sitting. The Cloister and The Lodge rooms start at around 700 square feet, but they come with a hefty upcharge.

After a renovation in 2019 that included major changes to the restaurant, lobby, and main entrance, as well as the Birdwood Golf Course, home to the University of Virginia's men's and women's teams, Boar's Head dropped Inn from its title and added Resort. Central Virginia is rich in scenery and historical sites, including Monticello, which is only a short drive away, as well as numerous vineyards. This country getaway is just under three hours from Washington, DC.

Davis Love III oversaw the course redesign, which opened to positive reviews this spring. Love and his team improved the walkability of the course by rerouting it through the Virginia hillsides to take advantage of the terrain while avoiding up and down climbs. While the best golf course at PGA National is designed for the best players on the planet, Andy Staples' work was published in 2021. First, there's the Staple Course, a par three course with tees ranging from 60 to 130 yards that's fun for everyone. The new Match Course requires golfers to compete solely in matches, going head-to-head on each and not caring how many strokes over (or under) par they are. Kiawah Island is known for its exclusivity and laid-back vibe, in South Carolina's Lowcountry. The Ryder Cup Golf Match between the United States and Europe, which has grown into one of the world's largest sporting events, was held at the golf hotel in 1991, and it helped put it on the map.

The Ocean Course is frequently referred to as America's most difficult course, but if you're not up for the challenge, there are four other options. There's no shame in foregoing the golf course and instead savoring the seafood stew, a Lowcountry specialty, or relaxing in the pool and spa before renting a bike to ride through the marshes. Families will enjoy the activities for children, and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy nature walks and charter fishing.

Large bathrooms, memory foam mattresses, balconies, Nespresso machines, and 55-inch televisions with Chromecast are all available in The Sanctuary's rooms. Although the floral pattern decor isn't quite Lily Pulitzer, it's sufficient to remind you that you're in South Carolina.
