    One Piece

The adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew are unmistakably riotous. With One Piece running since 1997, new readers may find it intimidating. However, the manga offers a deep exploration of Eiichiro Oda's world and is likely to remain a contender for one of the best manga series of all time. Luffy's journey to become Pirate King is filled with epic battles, heartwarming moments, and side-splitting comedy. Fans will be greeted with nonstop silliness from a plethora of characters, in addition to the series' vast world-building and intricate storyline, once they enter the pirate world.

The series frequently employs exaggerated facial expressions and physical movements to enhance the comedic effect of the scenes. The humor in One Piece is frequently used to highlight the crew members' camaraderie and close relationships as they tease and joke with each other during downtime. One Piece also makes use of cultural references and parodies to add humor to the series, such as when the crew encounters a group of samurai who are spoofs of famous historical figures such as Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro.

  2. Grand Blue Dreaming is a comedy manga series written and illustrated by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka. In 2014, Kodansha's Good! Mob Psycho 100

Mob Psycho 100 was created by ONE, who is also the author of One Punch Man. Shigeo, a socially awkward but kind-hearted boy with psychic abilities, is the protagonist of the story. He begins an apprenticeship with Reigen, the proprietor of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office and self-proclaimed "Greatest Psychic of the Twenty-First Century." But, unbeknownst to Shigeo, Reigen is a con artist.

It's amusing enough that the main character, who has genuine psychic abilities, has a mentor who is a fraud. Shigeo's unassuming nature, as well as the absolute ridiculousness of his power-up, adds a lot of humor, as well as excitement, to the series. Shigeo's interactions with his classmates, particularly those in the Body Improvement Club, are amusing. Shigeo unleashes an overwhelming amount of psychic energy when his suppressed emotions reach a breaking point. Shigeo's abilities make him powerful, but what makes him such an awesome manga character is that he explodes when his emotions reach 100%.

This is depicted in the series with a percentage bar, and when that bar reaches 100%, all hell breaks loose. Mob's strength stems from the fact that people underestimate him, and by the time they realize how powerful he is, it's far too late. Mob Psycho 100 is not only one of the most action-packed series, but it is also one of the most hilarious. The books look great both on and off the shelf.

  4. Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku by Fujita is a rom-com manga that focuses on the main characters' romantic relationships as well as their group dynamic and how they bond through their otaku interests. So, if the romance tag turns you off, just know that it isn't the main focus of this story. In addition to Genshiken, one of many readers favorite manga is Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku, which highlights otaku culture in a comedic but also relatable way and has a fantastic cast of characters.

Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku is primarily a comedy. While there is romance in the story, and it tells the story of several different romantic relationships, it is more of a story about a group of friends bonding over their love of manga, anime, video games, and other things, so romance is not the only focus of this story. This series' humor is relatable and hilarious; the facial expressions are amusing, and the comedic timing is spot on. It's both heartwarming and hilarious to read.

    Gintama

Gintama by Hideaki Sorachi is unique in the world of manga because it masterfully blends uproarious comedy with a captivating sci-fi setting. Gintama has established itself as one of the most entertaining shonen manga series of all time. Gintama follows the adventures of a samurai named Gintoki Sakata, who runs an odd-jobs business called Yorozuya in an alternate Edo period where Earth is occupied by aliens known as Amanto. Gintoki navigates a world filled with humor, drama, and action with the help of his eccentric friends Kagura and Shinpachi.

Gintama becomes much more serious later in the series, and while its main character, Gintoki, is a lovable jerk, he's also a total badass. In many manga lovers' opinions, the manga strikes a perfect balance between laugh-out-loud moments and action-packed sequences, all while providing relatable characters and moments that will connect with you on a deeper level as well.

    Gintama's
episodic nature allows it to explore various storylines while maintaining an overarching narrative that ties everything together, which everyone particularly enjoys. If you're looking for a Shonen series with an unusual main character that's full of laughs and action, read Gintama.

  6. My Roommate is a Cat is a slice-of-life comedy about an introverted mystery novelist. One day, while struggling with writer's block, he comes across a stray cat, and inspiration strikes. He takes her home as his muse, but the two develop a strong relationship. The story is told not only from the perspective of the MC, Subaru Mikazuki, but also from the perspective of his cat, Haru. Because this story is told from multiple perspectives, you get to see the events through various lenses. This adds to the levity of the story as well as the emotional context.

Reading My Roommate is a Cat is very cathartic, thanks in part to the fact that it's an Iyashikei manga but also because you can see the characters grow and heal over the course of the chapters through their interactions with one another. There are many heartwarming moments in this series, but there are also some that are melancholy. It's similar to Barakamon in that it makes you laugh and feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but it also makes you cry. So, if you're looking for a manga with depth and a good balance of serious and comedic moments, My Roommate is a Cat is an excellent choice.

    SKET Dance

SKET Dance by Kenta Shinohara, the author of another of many readers' favorites, Astra Lost in Space, is one of the comedy manga you need to check out. The plot revolves around a group of high school students who form the Sket Dan club and take on a variety of requests and jobs submitted by their peers. Similar to Odd Jobs in Gintama, but set in a school, the similarity here makes a lot of sense given that Kenta Shinohara was once an assistant to Hideaki Sorachi, the creator of Gintama.

The characters are fantastic. Another highlight of this series is how they interact with one another and how different their personalities are yet how well they complement one another. SKET Dance is amusing and has made many readers laugh more times than they can count, but it will also make you cry. It just hits all of the right notes for you, and it's one of the best comedy mangas to come out to date. It's also a very underappreciated comedy manga, especially given how good it is.

  8. Mashle: Magic and Muscles is about Mash Burnedead, a magic-less guy who lives in a magical world. He makes up for his lack of magic with brute strength. What does he enjoy more than working out and pumping iron? Puff pastry. It's one of many manga lovers favorite new comedy manga, but it's also very action-packed.

It's frequently compared to a funny Harry Potter, and while this is true and they are set in similar worlds with similar nuances. It may remind you more of another name, One Punch Man. Mashle is obviously a parody of Harry Potter, but its humor, hilariously overpowered main character, and battles and action in the series are similar to OPM or even Mob Psycho 100. So, if you like One Punch Man or Mob Psycho 100, you should check this one out.

The characters' facial expressions and exaggerated reactions contribute to the comedy of Mashle. Mashle is a nonchalant, slightly dense guy who is bad at picking up on context clues, so he provides a lot of the humor in this series. He is ridiculously strong, so strong that it's hilarious, and the fact that he can't use magic but manages to convince everyone at his school that he can add to the comedy.

    Kyou kara Ore wa!!

Kyou kara Ore wa! is a classic delinquent manga that will have you in stitches from the start. It follows Takashi Mitsuhashi and Shinji Itou, first-year high school students who reinvent themselves by getting flashy haircuts and becoming delinquents. Kyou kara Ore wa! is funny because it is about two guys who start out as wannabe gangsters but become a fearsome duo thanks to their recklessness and fighting abilities. There will be shenanigans no matter where these two go.

Despite being a lighthearted read, Kyou kara Ore wa!! contains some serious moments, particularly in the later arcs. Stronger opponents appear out of nowhere to challenge them, so it isn't all fun and games. Having said that, Kyou kara Ore wa!!, which features one of the best comedy duos in manga, is still primarily a lighthearted read. Takashi Mitsuhashi and Shinji Itou's antics and opposing but complementary personalities are largely responsible for this!

    GTO

GTO, or Great Teacher Onizuka, by Toru Fujisawa, is one of the best comedy manga. GTO is also one of the all-time greats in manga that, despite being released in the late 1990s, still competes with manga released today. GTO is a must-read if you enjoy comedy manga series that are both funny and have a good message.

Eikichi Onizuka, the main character, is a big part of why GTO is so funny. Onizuka adds a lot of humor to this story, whether it's through his antics or mannerisms, his facial expressions, or the situations he finds himself in. But, as you'll see throughout the chapters, he's much more than the "funny guy." Onizuka is a former gang member who decides to become a teacher, and he's the toughest, roughest, and most brazen teacher you've ever seen.

He isn't afraid to break the rules in order to reach his students, who are wild delinquents who are difficult to teach, let alone please. But he connects with them on a deeper level and, through his unconventional teaching methods, gets through to them one-on-one. GTO is both entertaining and thought-provoking. More than that, it demonstrates how a simple series can be just as meaningful and worthwhile as one with complex elements. What it provides more than anything else is heart and soul.

    Dorohedoro

Dark humor is something special, so it's no surprise that comedy manga lovers enjoy Q Hayashida's Dorohedoro. Dorohedoro takes place in a grim world filled with gruesome fights, terrors, blood, and gore. Despite its sometimes dark tone, this series has a refreshing sense of humor and endearing characters that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Dorohedoro has an engaging storyline full of adventure and excitement, in addition to being funny. Caiman, a lizard-headed man with no memory of his past, is the protagonist of the story. He joins forces with his friend Nikaido, the owner of the Hungry Bug, to track down the sorcerer responsible for his transformation. The plot follows their lives in a strange world known as the Hole, but a new set of adventures awaits them in the Sorceror's World.

Dorohedoro is an incredibly strange and lovable series that is hilarious due to its dark humor and over-the-top gore. The art style is also unlike any other manga, making it stand out even more than it already does. On top of that, it features some of the best characters in the manga. For these and other reasons, it is one of the best comedy manga you need to check out

  12. Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun by Izumi Tsubaki is a 4-koma manga, which means the pages are made up of four equal-sized panels. This is commonly used for gag comic strips, which this series is, but it's also a romance manga. Umetarou Nozaki, the main character, is a manga artist who loves his work so much that he spends his days researching it. So his daily life and everything he tries is simply a means to an end: gaining understanding and experience that will aid him in writing his manga. This is where the story's humor really shines.

The comedy in this story picks up when he meets Chiyo Sakura, who falls in love with him. Of course, Nozaki is completely unaware of this. The characters in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun are a big part of why it's such a good manga. The main characters, Chiyo and Nozaki, and their relationship may be the focus of this series, but they aren't the only stars. Along the way, a number of colorful and interesting characters are introduced, making this a more comedic and lovable read.
