Saudi Arabia's highest peak, Jabal Sawda (which translates to "Black Mountain"), stands firmly in the magnificent southwestern province of Asir, rising more than 3,000 meters above sea level. This majestic mountain, which is part of the inland Sarawat Mountain Range and looks over the Kingdom's southern Red Sea coast just north of Yemen, is about 20 kilometers from Abha city. The Sarawat Mountain Range is the Arabian Peninsula's largest mountain range, with stony peaks and some flora.

Jabal Sawda is a popular peak with locals and tourists alike for a multitude of reasons, including its mild environment, beautiful juniper trees, diverse flora and wildlife, and fascinating attractions. Indeed, it is said that the mountain actually gets its name from the abundance of trees and greenery that cover it, and because it is usually covered by fog due to its high peak, standing tall into the clouds on many days.

Jabal Ferwa' is the second highest peak in Saudi Arabia, standing at 9,856 feet above sea level. It is part of the Sarawat Ranges in the mountainous Asir Region, together with Jabal Sawda. Al-Harjah is the city closest to Jabal Ferwa. The Sarawat mountain ranges receive the most rainfall in Saudi Arabia, with mild afternoon summer showers and significant rains in late spring.

Different crops and plants are cultivated, including the evergreen juniper, cypress, wild olive, acacia, and lotus, in these hilly regions' fertile soils, particularly on the mountain slopes. Wild creatures, including mountain goats, deer, baboons, and rabbits, are attracted to the greenery. Some are extinct, while others, such as mountain goats, deer, baboons, and rabbits, are only seen sometimes. Leopards and wolves can still be seen roaming the countryside. Birds such as Egyptian vultures, eagles, and falcons can be seen in abundance in the mountain ranges.

Jabal Warrab is Saudi Arabia's fourth tallest peak, standing at 9,672 feet above sea level. The second highest peak in the country is Jabal Warrab, which is located in the As Sarawat mountain range. Jabal Warrab means "Mount Rap" in Arabic. Jabal Warrab is a peak in the Sarawat Ranges in the mountainous Asir Region, along with Jabal Sawda, Jabal Ferwa', and Jabal Natfa'. Jabal Al-Majaz is Saudi Arabia's fifth tallest peak, reaching a height of 9,521 feet above sea level. Jabal Al-Majaz, along with Jabal Sawda, Jabal Ferwa, Jabal Natfa, and Jabal Warrab, is one of the peaks of the Sarawat Ranges in Saudi Arabia's hilly Asir Province, as well as a few other notable peaks that attract tourists from all over the world. Al Souda is located in the Asir Mountain range and has a variety of tourist attractions where visitors can spend quality time with their family while taking in the beauty of nature. Soudah (Arabic: ) is a hilly location in Saudi Arabia's Asir province. The area is notable for its dense juniper tree covered mountains, which rise to 3,015 meters (9,893 feet) above sea level. The mountain top is part of the Asir National Park, which covers 4,500 square kilometers. If you wish to see some of Saud Arabia's old forts, this peak will provide you a glimpse of a museum and other structures that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Rijal Almaa.

The Jasmine Gardens Restaurant is one of the greatest restaurants in the area. Due to the mountain's limited food alternatives, hikers should bring only what they need. The Soudah Development Company, which is controlled by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), is actively developing the area sustainably (SDC). SDC wants to transform Soudah and sections of Rijal Alma'a Governate into a luxury mountain resort by investing in infrastructure, promoting the entertainment, residential, and commercial sectors, and expanding access to the region's unique culture, national treasures, and heritage sites.
