The Soarano Train Station was built during the colonial period and was one of the most important modes of transportation at the time. The rail station used to be the main one in the capital city, but it is now largely used for business purposes, and it is rare to see anyone traveling through it.

Previously, the Ambohitsorohitra served as the residence of Madagascar's president. The army invaded the Palace during the 2009 coup, and no one has stayed there since. The army attacked the presidential palace because they wanted to overthrow the president, and when he escaped, the palace became something of a museum because the army had promised to attack it again if he returned to the same location, which is why the president no longer lives here because the army had promised to raid if he ever started living there again.

The Palace is now only for show, and tours of the palace are being given to visitors and residents. This site is one of the most beautiful historical sites in Madagascar.

The Madagascar king built the Mahandrihono palace, which was intended for his children. Within the Palace's stone walls are numerous other modest houses where each of the king's children used to live so that he could readily oversee them and prevent a coup against his realm.

The monarch was a polygamous guy with a large family, which is why he built the Mahandrihono Palace so that all of his children could dwell in the same compound and be readily watched.
