  1. Sir Donald George Bradman (1908–2001) was an Australian cricketer and sports administrator who is widely regarded as one of the game's greatest batsman. Bradman first represented Australia in a test match in 1928, and served as captain from 1936 until his retirement in 1948.


    At the age of 19, he made his first-class debut in a match between his New South Wales team and Adelaide, making a "century" - 118 runs to be exact - in his very first encounter. He was so gifted and consistent that during the course of his 21-year test match career, he averaged a century every three innings. He scored 6,996 runs in 52 Test matches, giving him a strong candidate for the title of greatest cricketer of all time. When 100 former cricketers and journalists were polled by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack to decide the best cricketers of the twentieth century, "The Don" was nominated by all 100.

  2. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar (born April 24, 1973) is a former Indian international cricketer and former captain of the Indian cricket team. He is regarded as one of cricket's best batman and the all-time leading scorer in international cricket.


    Tendulkar, who began playing cricket at the age of 11, made his test debut against Pakistan in Karachi on November 15, 1989, at the age of 16, and went on to represent Mumbai in the domestic league as well as the Indian national squad in the event. For almost 24 years, I've been working on a global scale. He is the first player in international cricket history to score over 30,000 runs.


    Sachin Tendulkar made history in 2001 by being the first batter to reach 10,000 ODI runs in 259 innings. He was named the second best test cricket batsman in history, behind only Don Bradman, and the second greatest ODI batsman in history, behind only Vivi Richards, by Almanack of Wisden Cricketer in 2002, midway through his career.   3. Ricky Thomas Ponting is an Australian cricket coach, commentator, and former player who was born on December 19, 1974. Ponting led Australia's national team throughout its "golden period," from 2004 to 2011 in Test cricket and 2002 to 2011 in One Day Internationals (ODIs), and is the most successful captain in international cricket history, with 220 triumphs in 324 matches and a 67.91 percent winning record. He is widely regarded as one of the top batman of the contemporary period, having achieved the highest Test batsman rating in 50 years in December 2006, though this was eclipsed by Steve Smith in December 2017. He is second only to Sachin Tendulkar in the number of international records he has recorded.


    Ponting is Australia's top run-scorer in Test and One-Day International cricket.   4. Deshabandu Muttiah Muralitharan is a Sri Lankan cricket coach and former professional cricketer. With an average of more than six shots per Test match, Muralitharan is one of the most successful pitchers in international cricket and the first to hit 800 goalscoring shots in the Tests. As of March 2021, he has hit more shots in Test matches than any other cricketer. Muralitharan's international career has been beset by controversy over his bowling act. Due to the abnormal hyperplasia of his congenital bent arm during delivery, his bowling act was raised several questions by the referee and parts of the cricket community. After biomechanical analysis under simulated playing conditions, Muralitharan's action was cleared by the International Cricket Council, first in 1996 and again in 1999. With his explosive batting with Romesh Kaluwitharana in the mid-1990s, Jayasuriya is credited with revolutionizing one-day international cricket, ushering in the modern-day batting strategy of all nations. Jayasuriya is regarded as one of the best offensive batsman of all time, with a reputation for tremendous striking and match-winning all-round performances across all formats.   7. Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj is a former Indian cricketer who was born on January 6, 1959. He was a hard-hitting middle-order batsman and a fast medium bowler. In 1983, he led India to its first Cricket World Cup victory. In 2002, Wisden named him the Indian Cricketer of the Century.


    Dev captained the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup, becoming the first Indian captain to do so. He is also the youngest captain to win the World Cup for any team (at the age of 24). He retired in 1994 with the world record for the most wickets taken in Test cricket, a record that was later surpassed by Courtney Walsh in 2000.   8. Wasim Akram (born 3 June 1966) is a Pakistani cricket commentator, coach, and former cricketer who served as the captain of the Pakistan national team. Akram is recognized as one of the finest fast bowlers in cricket history. He is known as the "King of Reverse Swing" or the "Sultan of Swing." Wasim Akram was the only Pakistani cricketer to be included in an all-time Test World XI to commemorate Wisden Cricketers' Almanack's 150th anniversary in October 2013.


    During the 2003 World Cup, he became the first bowler in ODI cricket to surpass the 500-wicket mark. Wisden published their lone list of all-time great players in 2002.
