ACLEDA Bank
In accordance with the Banking and Financial Institutions Law of the Kingdom of Cambodia, ACLEDA Bank Plc. was established as a public limited company. Located in Phnom Penh and operating 261 offices throughout the country's provinces, in addition to 42 in Laos and 7 in Myanmar, When ACLEDA first launched, it gave war victims microcredits in 1993. It is currently the biggest commercial bank in Cambodia.
As of December 31, 2017, ACLEDA had over $5,244 million in total assets, over $3,117 million in deposits, and over $3,085 million in outstanding loans. ACLEDA Bank is the largest domestic commercial bank in terms of total assets and clientele, according to the National Bank of Cambodia, with more than 1.7 million depositors as of December 31, 2017.
One of the founding 28 members of the company, In Channy, serves as president and GMD of the bank. Channy started working for the company in 1992 as a loan officer while it was still a microfinance initiative supported by the UN. He currently holds the positions of CEO of the business and vice chairman of the International Business Chamber of Cambodia.
