Oriental Bank PLC
A commercial bank in Cambodia is called Oriental Bank, sometimes known as Oriental Bank Plc or Oriental Bank Cambodia. Datuk Phan Ying Tong, the bank's founder, managing director, and CEO, together with other partners, founded the institution in 2021.
On December 9th, 2020, Oriental Bank gained preliminary permission from the National Bank of Cambodia. The National Bank of Cambodia issued the license for banking operations in January 2022, and H.E. Dr. Chea Chanto, the governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, officially handed it over to the company on February 28 of that same year.
