Acorns International School (AIS)
Acorns International School (AIS) is a leading educational institution known for its commitment to providing high-quality education in an international context. Founded in 1996 as a modest Preschool in Nakasero, it has evolved into a respected International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School, catering to students aged 18 months to 18 years. The school holds the distinction of being authorized to offer the IB Continuum program, which consists of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). It is just the second institution in Uganda to have the right to provide this globally acclaimed curriculum.
In addition to the IB, AIS also offers the Cambridge A Levels Programme. This makes this school the only institution in Uganda providing two parallel international curricula, widely acknowledged as top-tier.
Moreover, its campus is also very big and has different buildings for different needs. It features state-of-the-art smart classrooms, science and IT labs, and a Design and Tech lab, showcasing the school's dedication to providing an innovative learning environment. To foster multilingual proficiency, AIS offers a language program that includes French, Kiswahili, Family Language, and Spanish.
