International School of Uganda (ISU)
The International School of Uganda (ISU), formerly known as Lincoln International School, is located on a green 33-acre purpose-built campus in the quiet Kampala neighborhood of Lubowa. It has been at the forefront of international education in Uganda for over 52 years. ISU is a not-for-profit school, governed by a board of directors, which is comprised of seven elected members and two appointed members.
When it comes to this school, what makes it reliable and prestigious is its quality. It offers the following world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3 to 11 years; • Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11 to 16 years; and • Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16 to 19 years. Thus, students of all ages can learn and develop in such an excellent environment.
Besides, ISU has vibrant and premium facilities that can accommodate the different needs of students. There are state-of-the-art science labs, three computer labs with access to the Internet and wireless connectivity campus-wide. Moreover, two sports fields, a sports hall, a 400m track, two swimming pools, four tennis courts, and separate facilities for Early Childhood education are provided. The school has recently constructed an Arts Centre which will contain classrooms for music, visual arts, dance, and drama as well as a 450-seat auditorium.
Furthermore, students can participate in a range of after-school activities. Some of the activities include local and international sports and art events and even service activities in the wider community.
