Acura TLX
Acura is the luxury and performance division of Honda Motor Company, Ltd..The brand was launched in the United States and Canada on March 27, 1986, marketing luxury and performance automobiles. Acura is the first Japanese automotive luxury brand. The creation of Acura coincided with the introduction of a JDM Honda dealership sales channel, called Honda Clio, which sold luxury vehicles, joining previously established Honda Verno, followed by Honda Primo the following year. In its first few years of existence, Acura was among the best-selling luxury marques in the US, outselling established brands such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
In the early 2000s, Acura introduced new models, including the company's first all-original SUV, the MDX, and two models which replaced the Integra coupé and sedan, the RSX and TSX, respectively. Type-S versions of the RSX, CL, and TL were added to the brand's lineup during that decade.
The 2021 Acura TLX is fully redesigned, and, unlike the previous generation, finds itself among 20 other cars as an IIHS Top Safety Pick+. The IIHS safety results showed good and superior marks throughout each test. Every TLX comes standard with LED low- and high-beam projector headlamps, and IIHS testing showed that the low beam pattern was never too bright for oncoming traffic, and the high-beam assist helped boost output while driving. The TLX comes standard with driver-assistant technology, such as forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. The TLX also features traffic sign recognition and an awareness monitor that will alert you if it senses you driving distracted.
The 2021 TLX pushes the limits of performance, tech, and design. The TLX is ready with an exhilarating 272-HP108 VTEC® engine that befits the premium amenities and alluring, sculpted body. Step up to Type S levels of performance and experience the most powerful Acura sedan ever built. A 355-HP126 3.0L Turbo V6, rear-biased Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®), and a bespoke Sport+ mode deliver pleasure and power like never before.
When it comes to handling, the 2021 TLX makes no compromises. The new double-wishbone front suspension and available Adaptive Damper System deliver precision handling and powerful cornering grip over almost any road surface.
Selected from four unique driving modes, including individual mode, for the ultimate in personalized performance, the car help customers get into the sweet spot for those daily drives and long cruises. The available softer dampers and reduced engine noise make comfort mode a smooth ride with exceptional handling and satisfying efficiency. Alongside AcuraWatch, additional available driver-assistive technologies help enhance overall driver awareness from all sides of the vehicle. Blind Spot Information System helps monitor the rear and sides for detecting vehicles in the alert zone of adjacent lanes. Rear Cross Traffic Monitor helps detect approaching from either side when the car is in reverse. Surround-View Camera gives customers a 360 view of the space immediately around the car through the navigation display.
