Adelaide Studios
The South Australian Film Corporation operates Adelaide Studios, a screen production facility (SAFC).
Since 2011, Adelaide Studios has been a purpose-built, cutting-edge production facility. The studios can accommodate both site and studio shots, as well as provide the ideal production base for complete location shoots. The facilities have world-class Dolby Premier 7.1 accreditation and a specialization in post sound.
Since its inception in 2011, the studios, which are managed by the SAFC on behalf of the SA industry, have attracted a number of high-profile projects. Mortal Kombat, 2067, I Am Mother, The Babadook, Hotel Mumbai, and Storm Boy are among the feature films, and The Tourist and Firebite is a TV drama series.
The facilities are specifically built to function as an integrated hub and can accommodate Virtual Production set-ups. This allows the SAFC to respond to local, interstate, and international independent producers with a personalized and flexible response. Two sound stages, a Dolby Premier 7.1 mixing theatre, virtual production capability, a Foley stage, edit rooms, production offices, a 100-seat screening theatre, and a set construction workshop are among the state-of-the-art amenities at Adelaide Studios.
Adelaide Studios is also a creative center for South Australian screen firms and practitioners, whose national and international reputation for producing high-quality screen content for cinema, television, and digital platforms continues to develop.
