Screen Queensland Studios
Screen Queensland Studios, Australia's newest and third-largest studio complex, opened in January 2019. Screen Queensland is a state-owned screen agency that invests in production, talent development programs, and film culture events to help Queensland create a thriving screen sector. The site is located at 45 Gosport Street, Hemmant, 11 kilometers east of Brisbane's downtown area and 15 minutes from Brisbane International Airport.
Locally produced films, shows, and games are supported by the agency, which also secures international and interstate production and post-production for the state. Screen Queensland Studios in Brisbane, which recently featured Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's autobiographical comedy series Young Rock and the Oscar-nominated Paramount feature picture Love & Monsters, is another of its properties.
Screen Queensland Studios is a dry-hire facility ideal for cheap to mid-budget feature films, television shows, and subscription video on demand drama series. Harrow, Bluey, Strait to the Plate, Holey Moley, Australian Survivor, Aquaman, Thor: Ragnarok, and future releases Thirteen Lives, directed by Ron Howard, and the Elvis biography, directed by Baz Luhrmann, are among the recent productions financed by Screen Queensland.
Screen Queensland is dedicated to amplifying the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the entertainment industry, as well as improving diversity on and off the screen.
