Docklands Studios

Docklands Studios is a new purpose-built studio located within walking distance of one of the world's most liveable cities and 20 minutes from Melbourne International Airport.

The complex, which opened in 2004, serves to support Victoria's film and television industry as well as to bring foreign and Australian projects to Melbourne. Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast and Fox Studios Australia in Sydney are the other two main studios in Australia.

The studios have five cutting-edge sound stages ranging in size from 743 square meters (8,000 square feet) to 2,323 square meters (25,000 square feet), with a total floor area of 6,318 square meters (68,000 sq ft).

Production offices, storage, dressing rooms, and cosmetics studios are all located adjacent to each stage. A 6,680 sq m (69,448 sq ft) workshop with eight bays is perfect for building sets and props, as well as costuming and storage.
