Admirre Fort Union Trading Post National Historic State
Fort Union Trading Post was a prominent fur trading location along the upper Missouri River from the early to mid-1800s. Native American tribes in the area sold their buffalo robes and furs for products and treasures from all over the world, such as blankets and firearms.
The location is one of North Dakota's top tourist destinations today and a national historic site. The site includes a portion of a reconstruction of the post's 19th-century appearance.
