Take a tour to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is one of the top North Dakota attractions for adventurers of all ages and is the state's first state park. Through special objects, the Visitor Center Museum provides insight into the history and culture of the area. Visitors can experience the past with the Mandan Native Americans through replica earth lodges.


History aficionados can visit Fort McKeen and Fort Abraham Lincoln to see what it was like to live as a frontier soldier. There is also a ton to do for outdoor enthusiasts! More than 100 campsites are located along the lovely Heart and Missouri Rivers. Along the road, you can also locate excellent fishing areas.

A 6.75-mile network of trails is available to hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrian riders at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The track is accessible to snowshoers throughout the winter. The trail's loops, curves, and twists connect to one another and offer stunning vistas of the North Dakota wilderness.
