Aer Lingus
Depending on where you're flying, Aer Lingus' carry-on luggage size policy may change. You are permitted to bring one carry-on bag with you on transatlantic flights that do not exceed the below limits, along with one free small personal item. On Aer Lingus, the regulations are slightly different if you're traveling within Europe: A cost, beginning at 5.99 euros, will be charged if you choose to check a carry-on bag. That identical bag, though, is free to check. If you're flying Aer Lingus Regional (a service with smaller planes, flying mostly around Ireland and the U.K.), a smaller carry-on limit applies 18.5 x 13 x 8 inches, with a weight limit of 15 pounds.
There are two different ways to bring your 10kg bag on your journey. If your booking does not allow you to check a bag heavier than 10 kg, you must purchase a "Carry-on bag with priority boarding" for €5.99/£5.99 online. As an alternative, leave your suitcase at the check-in counter or bag drop kiosk when check-in opens (available in Dublin, Shannon, and London) and pick it up at the baggage carousel when you land. This option is cost-free.
You must bring your carry-on luggage with you if your booking includes priority boarding (please see below for details). All customers are still given a small personal item (such as a handbag or a laptop bag).
