Aldabra
Aldabra is a protected natural reserve as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to the endemic green turtle and Hawksbill, as well as an unrivaled variety of fauna in Seychelles. However, because it is a protected natural reserve, divers must obtain permission from the Seychelles Island Foundation in order to dive there. This is one of the best dive sites in Seychelles.
The Aldabra atoll is known for its limestone 'champignon' terrain with a large population of giant tortoises, and relatively pristine marine life. It is a haven for many endangered and unique species, and scuba divers can swim with the green turtle and hawksbill turtle, among others. If the divers plan to swim during high and low tides, they may come into contact with a variety of fish species. It is a global biodiversity hotspot as well as one of the world's natural wonders. Only a few people have ever visited this wild and beautiful atoll, and even fewer have spent more than a few hours there.
