L’ilot
L'ilot, also known as The Islet, is a small, beautiful island located only 200 meters from Mahe. This is a large passage with fast currents at times. The depths range between 6 and 25 meters. The surrounding water is teeming with vibrant flora and fauna, and its walls are covered in coral. It is one of the best dive sites in Seychelles for intermediate to advanced scuba divers.
This tiny and picturesque granite island, with two coconut trees on top, is located at the north-east end of Beau Vallon Bay and is home to a plethora of marine life in the surrounding waters. Sheer drops have eroded into massive ravines framed by big granite boulders. The walls are covered with soft coral where you can find lots of crayfish and big eyes. Keep an eye out for turtles, reef sharks, and even whale sharks... When the weather permits, this is an excellent location for night dives.
