The American School of Brasilia (Escola Americana de Brasil - EAB) is a diversified international school offering English-based preschool through Grade 12. EAB is an inclusive community dedicated to fulfilling the needs of all students, with a focus on accessibility.
It provides three academic degrees - International Baccalaureate (IB), American, and Brazilian - in a setting that encourages each child's comprehensive education through a customized learning methodology.
It aspires to promote students' academic, career, personal/social, and global growth as a comprehensive worldwide model counseling program by planning and conducting preventive individual, small-group, and classroom guidance programs as needed. Furthermore, it offers developmentally appropriate counseling tactics for various age groups, such as assemblies, guest speakers, and student and parent workshops.
EAB counselors now provide short-term, educationally-based counseling (six to eight sessions). If a student's needs are beyond the scope of these sessions, they are directed to outside agencies. However, because external help in Brasilia is almost entirely in Portuguese, international students may need help receiving assistance in their home language.
American School of Brasilia Activities & Athletics is dedicated to improving a student's life by providing pleasant experiences through extracurricular activities. At EAB, the arts are divided into two categories: visual arts and performing arts. During the seven-day rotation, students in PreK 3 through Grade 5 attend both art and music courses twice.
