American University of Malta

American University of Malta, founded in 2016, is a for-profit private higher education institution located in the suburbs of Cospicua, a medium-sized municipality in Malta (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants). A branch campus of this university can be found at Marsaskala. The American University of Malta (AUM) is a small (enrollment range: under 250 students) coeducational Maltese higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Malta Ministry of Education and Employment. This is one of the best universities in Malta.

In Cospicua, Malta, the American University of Malta (AUM) is a private, American-style liberal arts college. It was stated in May 2015 that it would open as a co-educational institution. The goal of the project was to revitalize the south of Malta and provide an economic and social boost to the area. Dock 1 in Cospicua has been designated as the head campus since the concept was revealed, with additions planned for other sites in Cospicua and onqor, Marsaskala. On September 16, 2016, it became a legal entity.

While its main campus was undergoing extensive renovations, the AUM welcomed their first small cohort of students in September 2017. The AUM held their official inauguration ceremony in March of the same year, after the main campus repair was completed in January 2019.

The American University of Malta (AUM) offers a variety of courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of fields.
