University of Malta

University of Malta is a non-profit public higher-education institution in the midsize town of Msida, founded in 1769. This is the best university in Malta. Gozo is home to a branch campus of this university. University of Malta (UM) is a medium-sized (enrollment range: 8,000-8,999 students) coeducational Maltese higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Employment of Malta. The University of Malta (UM) provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees in a variety of fields. The selective admission policy of this 251-year-old Maltese higher-education institution is based on entrance examinations. Students can use UM's library, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, and administrative services, among other academic and non-academic facilities and services.

University of Malta is a public higher education institution. It offers bachelor's degrees at the undergraduate level, master's degrees at the postgraduate level, and doctorates at the postgraduate level. The European University Association, the European Access Network, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Utrecht Network, the Santander Network, the Compostela Group, the European Association for University Lifelong Learning (EUCEN), and the International Student Exchange Programme are all members of the university (ISEP).

The Collegium Melitense, a Jesuit institution founded on November 12, 1592, was the forerunner to the University of Malta. This was originally housed in an ancient home in Valletta, but between 1595 and 1597, a purpose-made college was created. This structure is today known as the Valletta Campus or the Old University Building. During the French rule of Malta from 1798 to 1800, the university was supplanted by the École Centrale, but was reopened by the British in the early nineteenth century. The Royal University of Malta was the name of the university from 1937 to 1974.

The European University Association, the European Access Network, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Utrecht Network, the Santander Network, the Compostela Group, the European Association for University Lifelong Learning (EUCEN), the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), and the Excellence Network of Island Universities (RETI) are all members of the university. In conjunction with partner universities, the university has participated in EU programs and won various projects. Staff and students of the University of Malta participate in Erasmus and Leonardo programs.

The university collaborates with various organizations. The Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise & Industry, and the Employment & Training Corporation have formed partnerships to see how the university, industry, business, and government can collaborate.
