Anglo-American School
The Anglo-American School of Moscow, founded in 1949, is a coeducational, independent day school in northwest Moscow that provides an international educational program for children aged 4 to 12. A school year is divided into four halves. August 19 is the start of the 2014-2015 academic year, while June 17 is the end. During the school year, students have a one-week fall break (October 27-31), three-week Christmas holiday (December 19 to January 9), one-week February break (February 23-27), and one-week spring break (April 13-17). The Anglo-American School is managed by a School Board that is chartered by the embassies of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada in Moscow.
The Anglo-American School has 150 highly qualified educators and 13 administrators from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada on its faculty. Over 60 countries are represented among the approximately 1250 foreign students on campus. Class sizes range from 16 to 18 students on average. Facilities: A purpose-made campus was erected between a forest and a canal in August 2000. Wireless Internet access is accessible throughout the school, enabling students to further their education.
