Arlo Guthrie
Arlo Davy Guthrie (born July 10, 1947) is a retired American folk singer and songwriter. He is known for singing songs protesting social injustice and telling stories when performing songs, in the tradition of his father Woody Guthrie. His only top 40 hit was a cover of "City of New Orleans" by Steve Goodman. His song "Massachusetts" was named the official state folk song in which he lived most of his adult life. Guthrie has also made several acting appearances.
Arlo Guthrie achieved much success with his first album, which was a huge hit, entitled Alice`s Restaurant, which was released shortly after his birth and was inspired by the anti-war activists of one country's younger generation. He is called a master musician in his own right, and his father Woody Guthrie is also one of the most famous artists belong to folk art. He is more known to the world because of his father's fame and he attracts people to his songs.
