ART LABOR Gallery

ART LABOR Gallery is a contemporary gallery based in Shanghai and Vancouver, Canada. Winner of Time Out magazine’s “People’s choice award for the best gallery in Shanghai” in 2014, twice as Ringier Media’s “Most Outstanding Gallery 2017” and that’s Shanghai’s “Best Gallery award for 2017”, listed twice on Modern Painter’s top 500 galleries worldwide, and ART INFO’s 20 best galleries in Asia list, the gallery has always strived to find unique artists, both emerging and established, from both China and around the globe.

It encourages more experienced artists to support and mentor budding artists, just as the gallery itself is dedicated to the growth of new talent and ideas. It has also featured a number of globally renowned artists, including those who have taken part in the Venice Biennale. ART LABOR has been instrumental in the evolution of the Shanghai art scene, which has become substantially more international in scope and has genuinely become the heart of the Asian art world. Working with galleries and art professionals from all over the world, the artists it exhibits are a mix of Chinese nationals and artists from other nations, including the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Japan, and others.
