Aruba Carnival
Arubans have been donning colorful costumes and preparing for their yearly carnival celebrations at the start of the year for the past 65 years. The Aruba Carnival lasts around two months and concludes just before Lent. Aruba Carnival is known for its boisterous parades, music contests, late-night street celebrations, and, of course, the election of the Carnival Queen. After the Burning of King Momo the entire island goes on hiatus, known as Carnival Monday (official day of rest).
