Asahi
Asahi was founded in 1889 in Osaka and is now Japan's largest brewery by sales volume, a position it has held for the past 12 years. Despite the fact that the company has a lengthy history in Japan, the introduction of their "Asahi Super Dry," Japan's first dry draft beer, has been a big reason in their recent success.
In addition to beer, Asahi sells a variety of alcoholic beverages, as well as pharmaceuticals and food. Beer demand in Japan has been declining in recent years, and this trend is expected to continue.
As a result, Asahi's international reach has grown, notably in Europe and the United States. So far, their products have mostly attracted attention on the west and east coasts, with little interest elsewhere in the country.
