Athena: Goddess of War (2010)

A spin-off of Iris from 2009, Athena: Goddess of War is a South Korean espionage television drama series that was shown by SBS in 2010. The two series, which had a budget of 20 billion ($17 million), are among the most costly Korean dramas ever made. The series, which starred Jung Woo-sung, Cha Seung-won, Soo Ae, and Lee Ji-ah, debuted in December 2010 following foreign filming in locales such as Italy, New Zealand, Japan, and the United States. Since the series is situated in the same universe as its predecessor, certain Iris characters appear again in various scenes.

Soo Ae plays Yoon Hye-in, who was saved by Son Hyeok after losing her family during the aforementioned riots in Los Angeles. As siblings, they learned to love one another, and she made the decision to stand by Athena for Son Hyeok. Later, when she was a black agent, she shared insider knowledge while working as a NIS officer. She continued to provide Son Hyeok with intelligence concerning NTS's operations after being transferred to NTS. But her conscience had grown weary from all the murders she had committed in Athena's name. She changed her allegiance after falling in love with Jung-Woo and made the decision to stop Son-Hyeok in order to put an end to the chaos.
