Athens College, established in 1925, is an IB school in Athens. It was brought to life by a group of forward-thinking Greeks, including Emmanuel Benakis and Stephanos Delta, with support from American philhellenes like Bert Hodge Hill, Director of the American School of Classical Studies. The founders aimed to create a school that would promote the well-rounded development of students by incorporating modern teaching methods tailored to Greece's history, traditions, psychology, and national needs.

The college emphasizes excellence and urges its students to seize opportunities while striving for their highest potential. Athens College molds responsible global citizens and future leaders, instilled with the values of Greece's intellectual heritage and the liberal values of the United States and Europe.

With 3,000 students, Athens College is divided between Athens and Psychico College, each comprising a Kindergarten, an Elementary School, a middle school, and an upper school. The upper school of Psychico College offers the International Baccalaureate program for students interested in overseas studies. Additionally, the adult education program enrolls 2,000 students.
