Avient Corporation, formerly PolyOne Corporation, is a global manufacturer and supplier of specialty materials. It was established in 2000 by the merger of Gun Company (Gun) and M.A. Hanna Company. Polyone manufactures and markets various forms of PVC, often used in wires and cables, gaskets, medical devices, and weather protection.

Avient Corporation possesses 60 manufacturing facilities and nine distribution centers in North America, Asia, Europe, and South America, specializing in the distribution of polymer additives, advanced chemicals, polymer dyes, thermoplastic elastomers, vinyl formulations, specialty polymer formulations, polymer technology solutions, screen printing and marking inks, and polymers.

Avient Corporation struck a deal with Royal DSM to purchase the DSM Protective Materials business for $1.485B in April 2022.
