Avondvierdaagse

Suriname's "wandelmars" or "Avond vierdaagse" (AVD) is an annual event that takes place during the Easter break in April.

This event is a four-day walk that is held in the streets of Paramaribo City to keep the populace, young and old, healthy and active. The AVD reflects culture and commercial output in a unique way. It has evolved into a fun, advertising, and folklore event, with each group having its own logistics and organization.
