Babes-Bolyai University
Babes-Bolyai University is ranked second on our list of the best universities in Romania. Babes-Bolyai University, founded in 1919, is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the small city of Cluj-Napoca. In 1959, it underwent a significant renovation.
Babes-Bolyai University is also ranked among the top 800 universities in the world. It is a premier research university with 21 faculties named after prominent Romanian scientist Victor Babeș and Hungarian mathematician János Bolyai.
With nearly 41,000 students enrolled, the university is Romania's largest higher education institution, offering courses in Romanian, Hungarian, German, English, and French.
The Romanian Ministry of National Education has officially accredited the school.
