It is the fourth Romanian university to be ranked among the top 800 universities in the world. It is also Romania's newest internationally ranked institution.
UVT has taken on the task of having an active presence in the town we call home, making knowledge, art, and athletics available to the public without compromising the doctrines' integration. This level of commitment brings us together in our variety by putting on scientific, cultural, artistic, and sports activities in the community with nationally and globally known individuals as guests. The concept that we, Western University, have been engaged in the community for the past few years, without imposing patterns, with flexibility, drive, and a proactive approach, is known as "thinking beyond the box."
The foundation's major goal is to "advance the ideals of culture, science, and civilization through a public-private collaboration including graduates (alumni) of the West University of Timisoara, as well as cultural, scientific, and socio-economic leaders from Romania and beyond."
The Ministry of National Education has designated the school as a research and education university. The Romanian Ministry of National Education has formally approved the university.
