Bardejov
Bardejov is the next name on the list today. With a wonderful historic center to explore, the well-preserved medieval town of Bardejov is definitely worth a visit if you have the opportunity; it is difficult to imagine a more picturesque location. The small town's life revolves around its lovely marketplace, much as it did decades ago. The magnificent Church of St. Aegidius, which is at its core, is surrounded by a number of fine Gothic and Renaissance buildings.
You can also visit a beautiful historic synagogue and a small Jewish district, which is, unfortunately, all that remains of the town's once-thriving Jewish community. The town is encircled by some beautiful 14th and 15th-century defenses, with several fascinating wooden churches dispersed across the surrounding area. It is located in the northeastern part of the country, with the Beskyd Mountains all around it.
